Futuro Lleno de Esperanza (FLE Santiago, Inc.) is a safe, community-focused space in Cienfuegos, Santiago. We offer diverse community programming for children ages three through sixteen and their families. Futuro Lleno de Esperanza is a faith-based, non-profit organization.
When pastors Hyun Jae Shin and Ji Hye Kang began working in the Cienfuegos “solares” in 2010, they learned of the community’s deep desire for impactful educational opportunities for their children. After formal discernment, Futuro Lleno de Esperanza was built in November 2011, offering informal education for 25 children. By the start of the school year in September 2012, over 100 students, from Pre-K3 through second grade, were enrolled.
In 2014, a public school was built across the street from the center, offering classes from kindergarten through 8th grade. Futuro Lleno de Esperanza re-envisioned its role in the community, evolving to offer high quality, faith-based pre-school education and extra-curricular opportunities for older kids.
Since opening its doors eleven years ago, Futuro Lleno de Esperanza has offered formal schooling, prenatal education, reproductive health education, art classes, crafts classes, ballet, Tae Kwon Do, worship dance, homework health, after school care, service learning trips, summer camp, trips, excursions and more.
